白先旭，安徽六安人，于2007年6月获得西华大学测控技术与仪器专业学士学位。2007年9月至2008年12月，在重庆大学精密仪器及机械专业（国家重点学科）进行硕士阶段研究学习。2009年2月开始，以硕博连读方式直接攻读精密仪器及机械专业博士学位。2011年8月至今，在国家留学基金委的全额奖学金的资助下公派至美国马里兰大学帕克分校（全美排名51）航空航天工程系（全美排名第6）进行为期近一年半的访学研究工作。 迄今，作为主要研究人员完成了1项国家自然科学基金项目，承担了1项中央高校基本科研业务费专项资金项目（重点项目）。发表了境外期刊SCI收录论文2篇，参加境外召开的国际会议并宣读大会论文4篇，申请中国、美国发明专利各1项。2010年，他的参会(ASME Conference on Smart Materials, Adaptive Structures and Intelligent Systems, SMASIS 2010, Philadelphia, USA)论文进入学生论文竞赛决赛并被评为该会议“最佳学生论文”。2011年，获得重庆大学颁发的“学术开拓奖”奖项（全校仅3人）。美国机械工程师协会(ASME)和美国光学工程协会(SPIE)学生会员，境外期刊《Journal of Intelligent Materials Systems and Structures》审稿人。主要研究领域和兴趣为: 智能材料与结构、磁流变阻尼器的智能化研究以及基于智能材料与结构的能量获取。

Xian-Xu Bai received his B.Eng. in Measurement and Control Technology and Instruments in June 2007 from Xihua University, Chengdu, China. From September 2007 to December 2008, he studied for M.Eng. in Precision Instrument and Machinery in Chongqing University, Chongqing, China. Recommended to directly pursue the Ph.D. by the Department of OptoElectronic Engineering at Chongqing University, since February 2009, he has been a Ph.D. candidate with the department. He has been a principal investigator of two projects financially supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China and Fundamental Research Funds for the Central Universities, respectively. He has published 2 SCI journal papers, and given 4 oral presentations in international conferences. In 2010, he won the Best Student Paper Award at Smart Materials, Adaptive Structures and Intelligent Systems (SMASIS 2010) held by the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) in Philadelphia, USA. He also received the Academic Pioneer Award from Chongqing University in 2011. He is now a Student Member of ASME and SPIE and reviewer of the Journal of Intelligent Materials Systems and Structures. His current research interests focus on the smart materials and structures, Intellectualization of Magnetorheological Damper and Energy Harvesting based on Smart Materials and Magnetorheological Damper.
